Fantasy Football 2012 Black Friday Door Busters: Colin Kaepernick, Michael Crabtree, Cam Newton, Steve Smith, Eli Manning and Hakeem Nicks

By Mike Scala

Black Friday kicks off the holiday shopping season every year. Although, I think the origin of Black Friday is lost on the masses, this was the day in the year when retailers actually used to go from being unprofitable to profitable for the year. My….how things have changed over the decades.  Next, we have Cyber Monday….and I’m waiting for On-Line Auction Tuesday…for all those people that missed out on the hot gift and must now comb the web and pay double….don’t those long lines look appealing now???

This year Black Friday started Thursday…..on Thanksgiving! In fantasy football, Black Friday is also a point were the contenders start gearing up for the playoffs and those on the bubble either make a move to sneak in, or are left in the dust. Many fantasy owners are in “start or sit” dilemmas every week. That’s why we post our picks weekly on those players most fantasy owners are wrestling with to start or sit. Mike’s Rankings:

4) James Jones, GB

He went for 2 TDs each week from weeks 4 through 6. That’s great production. Jones has been facing the opposing teams 3rd and 4th string cornerbacks all season. He’s been making the absolute most of his 6-7 targets each week during that span. Last week he was targeted 10 times and had his worst game of the last four weeks. I’m not a fan but recognize anyone on Green Bay is a threat with Aaron Rogers playing at a high level. Jones goes for 4 catches and 40 yards, no TDs for the second straight week.
