Austin Pettis, WR, STL

Pettis had 11 catches for 97 yards and 1 TD in Week 2 for the Rams. The Rams offense is one I’m watching this year as Bradford may finally have enough weapons to move the ball down the field and ultimately put it in the end zone. The Rams seem to be playing fast, with Richardson a small-ish scat back with speed, Givens on one end and I thought Tavon Austin in the slot. But as we know, rookie WR’s take time to get acclimated to the NFL game. Pettis played well in Week 2, coming out of the slot for most of the game, and he’s in the magical year 3 for wide receivers where it all seems to come together. I think the Rams have a bit of lightning in the bottle with Pettis and he really starts to develop this year.

Last week’s Pick- Joique Bell, RB, DET- 31 rushing yards, 5 receptions for 41 yards

Mohamed Sanu, WR, CIN

This is a deep waiver pick up for dynasty leagues.  Sanu is a 23 year-old rookie WR with the Bengals.  He’s raw and athletic.  I’ve had my eye on him for the past few weeks as Cincy has been giving this guy more playing time in 3 receiver sets.  With AJ Green a top playmaker and Greshem finally living up to his projections the last few weeks, Sanu receives single coverage and is a nice third option in the pass happy Bengals offense.  Week 10 was by far Sanu’s best game, being targeted 6 times (second only to AJ Green) and snagging 4 catches for 47 yards and 1 TD.

Daryl Richardson, RB, STL

Richardson is an interesting player. He’s a third down-type of back that needs to be in a particular type of offense to really be featured. Jeff Fisher seems to be trying to put this pass first offense in place but it’s painful to see it work throughout a season. Ideally, Richardson fits an offense like the Saints (Doesn’t everyone?). I think Richardson continues to steal plays and touches from Steven Jackson going forward. In CBS leagues, he’s still available in roughly 30% of leagues.  Those leagues where he’s a free agent need to snatch him up. Once he starts scoring, he’s a solid fantasy starter even with his role as is.
