Austin Pettis, WR, STL

Pettis had 11 catches for 97 yards and 1 TD in Week 2 for the Rams. The Rams offense is one I’m watching this year as Bradford may finally have enough weapons to move the ball down the field and ultimately put it in the end zone. The Rams seem to be playing fast, with Richardson a small-ish scat back with speed, Givens on one end and I thought Tavon Austin in the slot. But as we know, rookie WR’s take time to get acclimated to the NFL game. Pettis played well in Week 2, coming out of the slot for most of the game, and he’s in the magical year 3 for wide receivers where it all seems to come together. I think the Rams have a bit of lightning in the bottle with Pettis and he really starts to develop this year.

5) Ryan Tannehill, MIA

On the surface it seems like Tannehill would be a solid option this week against the lowly Bills defense. But when you factor in how the Bills’ defense stinks equally against the pass as well as the run, Tannehill’s prospects lose their shine. Bush and Thomas will run wild against the Bills making Tannehill a mere figurehead. The only value he has is if some of his dump-offs to his RB’s turn into TD’s. Consider him a “sit” this week.
